At our annual Fall Gathering, there are demonstrations, lectures, and of course, food tasting! This event is held usually in October, and features Native arts, crafts, and games, as well as Cahuilla harvest foods such as wewish (acorn mush), a time-consuming but staple dish. The demonstrations often include Cahuilla bird singing, basket weaving, acorn leaching and grinding, pottery making, and flint-knapping.
